Shawn is an intellectual property attorney with over 10 years of experience and is a founding partner of Muskin & Farmer LLC. Shawn manages the trademark division of Muskin & Farmer, but also has many years of experience regarding all aspects of intellectual property law including prosecution and litigation. Shawn provides an approach to his client's intellectual property rights, whether those be patent rights, trademark rights, copyrights or any combination of these rights, which begins with the identification of the client's existing and potential intellectual property rights. Once identified, Shawn works to secure these rights, both domestically and internationally, and defends them whenever that becomes necessary. Shawn has registered hundreds of trademarks and copyrights and helped his clients obtain many patents. He has also represented clients in multiple federal jurisdictions and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Mr. Farmer is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Farmer holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law, received in 2004. He also holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in both chemistry and environmental studies from the University of Kansas in 1996 Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Farmer worked for five years as a chemist in both the oil and gas industry and pharmaceutical industries.  Mr. Farmer is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association.
